While today was our second day in Nepal it was our first day to trek. We started from the small mountain village of Lukla which is at 2840 meters/9317 feet.
We hiked for around two hours to have a nice lunch of fried rice in Thado Koshi . Then it was another 3 1/2 hours to reach Monjo, our home for the night.
We had nice weather while on the trek with sun and a mix of clouds that gave way at moments to expose some of the higher peaks. While most started in short sleeve we added layers as the temperature started to drop as the sun started getting lower.
A quote for the day would be ‘Oh my gosh!’ as in ‘oh my gosh look how beautiful it is here’ or ‘oh my gosh are we there yet?’
While all are a little tired from our first day in the team is in good spirits and looking forward to meal and some well deserved rest.
